Maned Wolf BJD 09

Commission for . She requested me a maned wolf doll. If you don't know this animal, take a look at them. They look like super model foxes with those enormous legs. It is very funny! I thought that it would be fun to make, as the anatomy was different from my other dolls.

It is my first airbrushed doll! In my life. First attempt! And I couldn't find my scrap pieces to try on them first, so it is the first first.
Imagine how scared I was at the moment! In the end, everything went surprisingly well! And I decided I should airbrush all my dolls (at least a face up)! I just loved the effect it give to the doll. My first idea was to make a simple paint job. But I went forward and made it more realistic! After I made some details with pastels, pencils and some parts are coated with varnish. And sealed with MSC.

This was also my first doll to wear real BJD eyes, that are changeable! They also give a wonderful effect to the doll.

This model has new joints on the chest/ body that now moves and looks much more realistic. And also added a new piece on the hind legs and it now moves more smoothly.

It is my bigger doll so far! 14cm tall. BIIIIIG big for me! I also decided that bigger dolls are easier to make! And for my future airbrushing ventures, that will be necessary. So, bigger now from now on.

I am very proud of this doll. It came out much better than I expected in all ways. Pictures don't make it justice. I hope in the video I will make you will able to see it better.

About the doll: this is a handmade ball jointed doll. Made with cold porcelain clay. Has BJD glass eyes. Painted with an airbrush. Sealed with MSC. Has fabric pieces on the joints that got paint to avoid damage.
